We were invited by the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies (IIAS) of the Hebrew University in their beautiful building in the Givat Ram campus in Jerusalem. We presented four of our ongoing research papers, dissecting deep into different aspects of income inequality in Israel. We have huge gratitude for the colleagues who came to listen and remark at our work with important insights.

After the presentations were over - The IIAS invited us for a fascinating tour of the near-by National Library in its new magnificent building.

We want to thank the staff of the IIAS for inviting and hosting us so kindly, we hope all the attendance found our innovating research thought-provoking. Until next time!

On Thursday, January 23rd, the Inequality Research Lab led by Professor Tali Kristal (Dan Manor, Tom Baz, and Daniel Yahalom), in collaboration with Dr. Alina Rosenfeld and Tehila Sharabi from the Adva Center, and Dr. Amid Sa’abna from the Department of Sociology, participated in the "Data-thon" conference organized by the Israeli CBS and Google—focused on developing innovative products using the Israeli CBS database.

The team leveraged the unique academic expertise of its members and, in less than a month, developed a model for an innovative tool that makes Israeli CBS data-based indicators accessible through an interactive map. This tool is designed to be user-friendly and highly practical for citizens, local government officials, and researchers alike.
